November 13 updates

A successful day at the cabin and shopping yesterday! We met with Skip, our builder, at 10. Things are moving along although not as fast as anyone would want. He thinks we will be in by Christmas. We're thinking maybe 1-2nd week of January for everything to do done. I took some pictures of the old cabin during its early salvage stage. As you can see the tub is out and headed to Kyle and Kristen's. The builders are trying to save stone for various places around the new cabin so mostly that is what you see gone, along with gutters, trim, part of west deck, etc. The back patio is gone as well (I've included several pictures of the outside of the cabin as well).

Randy came up with some furniture layouts so we could figure out what we wanted to buy and maximize seating. We got to thinking that the old cabin only had space for 4 folks....2 on love seat, one in orange chair and one in the blue recliner. We've definitely increased that! Yesterday we bought a sofa and matching loveseat, new burgundy leather recliner and another chair with ottoman that is a strip that matches the sofa and loveseat. The sofa and loveseat are a dark brown and looks like a wide-wale corduory. Doug tried it out laying down for the length and it worked. We got it all at La-z-Boy. Then off to find mattresses. We purchased a cal king mattress and frame and a king one. We will keep the downstairs with just the double bed and trundle setup from the old cabin. Remember, the bunks were recycled. Also we have our new dining room table and chairs (seating 8) in the storage unit. OK....on to the pictures.
